Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Location: John Street, Brighton, BN88 Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (45 hours per week) Contract: Temporary Assignment – 16 March 2026 to 9 May 2026 Overtime: Paid at x1.5 and x2 where applicable A temporary opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support general building maintenance operations at a major corporate site in Brighton.

This role will suit an experienced engineer with a broad background in facilities or building services maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe, functional, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general building maintenance and repair tasks across the site Respond to reactive maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance Support electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance works where required Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures Maintain accurate records of works completed and report any issues to site management Essential Skills and Experience Previous experience working as a Multiskilled or Building Maintenance Engineer Experience in general facilities or building services maintenance Ability to carry out basic electrical, mechanical, and fabric repairs Strong understanding of health and safety procedures Reliable with good communication skills Assignment Details Temporary contract providing additional engineering support Immediate start available from 16 March 2026 Based at a major corporate office site in Brighton Overtime opportunities available depending on operational requirements This is a solid opportunity for a hands-on maintenance engineer looking for a stable temporary role within a professional facilities environment.
