Job description
Who We Are: Founded in 1969, Metro Sales Inc. built its reputation selling office supplies and equipment across the Twin Cities. Decades later, we've grown into one of the largest office technology and solutions providers in the Midwest. Today, MSI Metro Sales Inc., a 100% Employee-Owned Company, stands as an industry leader in hardware, software, and managed services.
MSI Metro Sales Inc. is seeking an Employee-Owner, Software Developer, to join our Roseville, MN Managed IT team. Our team builds for every side of the business, internally and externally for our clients. Under the guidance of a senior developer, you'll write and review code with AI assistance, deploy to Azure via GitHub.

Utilize Claude or other AI tools that work with our managed services platforms, internal apps and APIs for internal and external customer’s data. We don't just have jobs, but opportunities to make an impact on our customers every single day.
If you're the type of person that loves to make a difference, now is your chance to join us. Why Join Us! Opportunity to work with The AI tools we build with, including Claude and Claude Code. Production work from your first weeks! You'll join a portfolio that is already in production, work with existing templates and build it into larger apps.
AI and Claude enablement: Read-only MCP servers for N-central, Huntress, Sentinel. One, Threat. Locker, Avanan, IT Glue and Forti. Analyzer, plus a TypeScript server covering the full Connect. Wise Manage API. Team workflow skills, small tools and staff workshop demos. New connectors start from our house template. Service desk AI: Workflows that categorize and summarize new Connect.
Wise tickets, then search IT Glue and resolved tickets and write suggestions for the technician. Automation and data: About 80 n8n workflows for Forti. Gate backups, upgrades and drift scoring, Teams onboarding notices, dashboards, and syncs between Connect. Wise, N-central, IT Glue and Pax8. Including the read-only C#/.
NET e-automate API and Python, SQL Server. Internal apps and tools: Project Management tool (task tree, Kanban, time approval, two-way Connect. Wise sync) and the sales pipeline app. Both are TypeScript end to end. In, addition, technician desktop tools: a .NET 8 WPF profile migration front end and a Power. Shell wizard.
Azure platform: Bicep IaC with per-app resource groups and budgets, GitHub OIDC deploy identities, and an Open. Telemetry collector sending Claude Code usage telemetry to Azure Monitor.
Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain, verify and secure connectors (MCP servers) that let AI systems work with the internal software stack Build against vendor REST and GraphQL APIs. Develop from written specs and ship the docs with the code: READMEs, PRDs, decision records, and runbooks. Develop and maintain n8n workflows for internal and external flows that move data between Connect.
Wise, N-central, IT Glue, and Microsoft Teams, with dry runs before live changes, error handling, and failure alerts. Ship features and fixes across our internal apps and APIs, from database migration to UI. Ship changes through a GitHub with tests and code review. Use Claude Code daily to plan, write, review, and test code, and critically evaluate its output.
Protect credentials and client data with read-only defaults, least privilege, and secrets stored in Key Vault, never in git, logs, or chat. Partner with technicians, Service Desk, and sales staff to drive improvements. Enhance our LLM features: prompts, retrieval quality, similarity thresholds, and the guardrails that keep agent output limited to valid values.

Command line: Power. Shell and Bash. SQL: joins, indexes, schema migrations. A second language, ideally TypeScript or C#. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
