Summary: To work as a nurse at Sunshine, you must have a strong interest in providing nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that supports our mission: to create community among people with developmental disabilities, their families, friends, and staff Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care and administer medications/IV therapies.

Assess health needs and update care plans as needed. Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare professionals. Make appropriate emergency and non-emergency clinical decisions. Maintain accurate medical records, medication records, and incident reports. Monitor compliance with nursing, Medicaid, and agency regulations.

Conduct chart audits, assessments, and required nursing tasks. Train, mentor, and support nurses and other staff. Maintain medications, equipment, and nursing supplies. Communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care across shifts and locations. Assist with daily nursing workflow and troubleshooting. Maintain professional licensure and complete required training.

Represent Sunshine professionally within the community and healthcare organizations.

Qualifications
