Job description

Title: Facilities Coordinator-Safety Sensitive Department: Safety and Security Reporting Relationships: Director of Plant Operations Job Summary: Assists in coordinating and maintaining the Environment of Care Program. Coordinates the activities of Maintenance, Construction and Security to ensure high quality and efficient operation of services.

Job Duties: Environment of Care Program Assists the in coordinating all activities of the Environment of Care Program. Coordinates the compiling of monthly data for the EOC committee. Assists in monitoring rules and regulations from governing organizations (State and Federal.) to assure compliance with each organization.

Assists in coordinating all fire and disaster drills. Assists in the safety training needs of WRMC staff through general orientation and annual departmental safety training. Assists in maintaining policy and procedure manuals for Maintenance and Security. Assists in maintaining the time/attendance and scheduling of maintenance and security personnel.

Assist the Director with clerical functions. Maintain confidentiality of any patient health information seen or heard at any White River Health System facility. Page Break Qualifications: Education : High School diploma or GED. Training and Experience : Two to five year’s office experience, with word processing and computer skills required.

Service-oriented experience preferred. Job Knowledge : Good problem solving and negotiating skills. Verbal ability to communicate with staff, patients, guests, and management. Ability to comprehend a wide range of subjects. Good organizational skills. Ability to work from State and Federal standards and guidelines. Essentials: Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol.

Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals. Physical Demands : Job responsibilities require a minimal amount of physical work. Workday requires walking and long periods of sitting and data entry. The individual must also be able to maneuver throughout the halls, stairways, and patient rooms in response to hospital emergencies.

Interpretation of environmental input requires visual and auditory skills. A significant amount of writing and computer entry is required.
