Job description
Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a Supervisor for Employment Services to join their team! The Employment Services Supervisor’s role is to assist clients in finding, obtaining, and maintaining a career that is consistent with their vocational goals. The Employment Services Supervisor will also assist individuals in problem solving to reduce barriers to recovery.
The Employment Services Supervisor works with individuals diagnosed with mental illness to promote recovery, independence, and successful community living, by or through supporting members in eight principles of employment services. Zero exclusion – assisting members with employment opportunities Competitive jobs services – searching for jobs in the community that anyone can apply for and obtain Services are integrated with mental health treatment – will work as a team member with the client’s multidisciplinary team Personalized benefits planning – provided before employment and during employment to help the member make informed decisions Rapid job search – will provide rapid job search within 30 days unless a slower pace is requested Employment Support – will build working relationships with the employers to help with preferences and interests Individual Job Supports – each member will be provided time unlimited job supports be the Employment Specialist Supervisor and team Member preferences are honored – person centered services are respected and honored.
Provision of treatment services are informed by the Individual Service and Support Plan (ISSP) and clinically supervised by the primary clinician. Services are provided within a program for Adapt Integrated Health Care in consultation with the treatment team. This classification provides advocacy and linkage in planning, monitoring, coordination, and implementation of the treatment interventions as identified in the ISSP.
In addition, the Employment Specialists assist individuals in problem-solving to reduce barriers to recovery and support the development of resources within the community while coordinating services with other community and treatment providers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and preferred two years of experience in a social service and/or mental health setting or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience, and training At time of appointment, must possess valid driver's license Ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) through MHACBO Knowledge of basic psychological theory, principles, and practices of mental health treatment Primary Responsibilities DIRECT BILLABLE SERVICES: provides case management direct services to members as directed by a QMHP and documented in the Individual Service and Support Plan (ISSP); uses interventions informed by evidence-based practices endorsed by Adapt CONSULTATION/COORDINATION: actively promotes the harmonious delivery of services through coordination of interventions in collaboration with treatment team members and foster providers achieved by ongoing communication and active problem solving with the treatment team and foster providers about outcomes, barriers, and case observations DOCUMENTATION : maintains and completes required records, reports, documentation as required by departmental policy and state and federal law COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES: as many of the services are provided with in the community and throughout Douglas County, driving is an essential and daily function of this position; transports individuals, family members and other supports to/from services TRAINING/SUPERVISION: participates in professional development through individual and group supervision, unit and agency staff meetings, workshops, and Essential Learning tutorials; develops, modifies, and or obtains training programs and materials in consultation with supervisor and program manager; promotes peer professional development by sharing training materials and or training others in successful interventions.
Work is performed under the general direction of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and with the clinical supervision of a Lead or Program Director. Work is subject to active supervisory control and review through regularly scheduled supervision and meetings to ensure determinations and decisions made are in compliance with departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
Will be required to achieve productivity standards as set forth and outlined by your manager. Maintain compliance with regard to state, federal and Adapt guidelines including but not limited to accurate and timely documentation Emergency Response: This employee has been identified as a staff member expected to report for duty following activation of a public health emergency response plan.
