Job description
The Chip Dozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of wood handling equipment and processes that support mill operations. This position’s primary responsibilities include operating the CAT and Wagner Dozers to manage all wood fiber inventories and working at the Chip Dock to receive, inspect, and unload incoming chip, sawdust, and hog fuel deliveries.
The priority responsibility for this position will be feeding raw material into the mill as needed. When not assigned to equipment operation or truck receiving activities, the employee performs housekeeping, preventive maintenance inspections, and routine equipment monitoring to maintain a safe and reliable work environment.
