Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Under close or direct supervision performs any of several types of manual work in a line crew. This includes the following primary duties, together with other related and incidental work. In addition to the primary duties and other related work of similar grade, a Groundman will be assigned to any other work of equal or lesser skill, within the capabilities of the individual, to meet emergencies or other operating needs. Primary Duties PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Handles materials, tools, and tackles on the ground; digs and fills holes. Takes training to qualify for Apprentice Lineman Job Scope JOB SCOPE This position is a NERC Regulated position. As such, a background check will be conducted on the incumbent every seven years. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to complete annual NERC compliance training.
