Direct Support Professional - Palmer Center - House 2 - 40/Monday through Friday - 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community. Palmer Center is located in Kingston, and is very close to shopping and the Rhinecliff Bridge. As an employee at Palmer Center, you can expect all kinds of fun activities taking place each day.

The people who live there love to be together as a group and sing songs and listen to music…so as an employee at Palmer, bring your musical talents and join in the fun! We even have a piano! Do you have a special talent for crafts? Then gather around the table and teach everyone a new arts and crafts project! Our Palmer Center includes three homes, with beautiful outdoor space.

YOU will be a welcome addition to the team. A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - 7:00 am to 3:00 pm STARTING SALARY: $ 22.56 to $ 24.62 per hour, for working at this location (which includes a $2.00 per hour differential over the Palmer Full-Time DSP base salary range of $ 20.56 to $ 22.62 ) , plus applicable shift differentials may be added.
