Substitute Teacher Positions 2026-27

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess New York State (NYS) Teacher Certification (preferred) or hold a Bachelor's degree , or be currently enrolled in a college-level education program working toward teacher certification. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all materials have been submitted for review. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Maintain flexible availability to accept assignments as they arise. Follow and implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. SALARY: The rate of pay for the 2026-2027 school year is: $150 per school day for non-certified substitute teachers, (those working toward New York State certification and those with a bachelor's degree) $160 per school day for certified substitute teachers $175 per school day for retired teachers $185 per school day for retired Fairport teachers.
