Competitive salary 45 minutes to Mosgiel, 30 minutes to Lawrence and 1 hour from Dunedin Accommodation, health and life Insurance A hands‑on role where you’ll tackle general maintenance, fencing, and occasional stockwork - all set within a station rich in natural beauty. THE OPPORTUNITY As our senior fencer general, you be involved in everything from operating tractors to tackling fencing projects (both new builds and repairs), you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the farm running smoothly.

You’ll use modern, well‑maintained equipment and work within a strong safety culture where training and support are built in. As part of our tight-knit team of around eleven, your days will be a mix of fencing, general maintenance, tractor work, feeding out silage over the winter months, weed control (gorse and broom spraying) and occasional stock handling.

While the role is primarily focused on fencing and farm upkeep, there will be times you’ll be in the yards working with livestock. Experience with stock is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and get stuck in is just as important.

Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations. THE FARM Waipori Station is a flagship Pāmu property located in the heart of Otago. Sitting on the edges of Lake Mahinerangi and running into the scenic Lammerlaw Ranges, just 45 minutes to Mosgiel, 30 minutes to Lawrence and 1 hour from Dunedin.

Spanning 12,456ha of which 9,695 ha is effective area, the station combines productive pasture and extensive tussock country to support a robust breeding and finishing enterprise. We winter over 58,500 stock units – including 27,000 ewes, 9,500 hoggets’, and 2,000 beef cows + replacements. The operation finishes the majority of cattle progeny and approximately half of the lamb crop on farm.

ABOUT YOU
