Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer Work Authorization: US Citizen Location: Hybrid (2 3 days onsite in West Sacramento, CA) Position Summary We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support cloud modernization initiatives, application development, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations within a large enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong AWS expertise, DevOps experience, and a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience including:
- EC2
- S3
- AWS Lambda
- IAM 3+ years of experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation). 3+ years of experience developing applications using Python, Node.js, or C#. 3+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. 3+ years of experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases:
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- DynamoDB 3+ years of experience with:
- Encryption standards
- AWS Secrets Manage
- HashiCorp Vault
- HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC2 compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Well-Architected Framework experience.
- AWS cloud migration and modernization experience.
- AWS cost optimization expertise.
- Experience with:
- AWS Config
- Security Hub
- CloudWatch
- CloudTrail
- Splunk
- Bash or PowerShell scripting.
- AI/ML services such as SageMaker.
- Multi-cloud experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Develop REST APIs and cloud-based applications.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Design and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Implement cloud security controls and compliance standards.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in cloud modernization initiatives.
- Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and technical teams
