Job description

Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer Work Authorization: US Citizen Location: Hybrid (2 3 days onsite in West Sacramento, CA) Position Summary We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support cloud modernization initiatives, application development, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations within a large enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong AWS expertise, DevOps experience, and a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience including:

  • EC2
  • S3
  • AWS Lambda
  • IAM 3+ years of experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation). 3+ years of experience developing applications using Python, Node.js, or C#. 3+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. 3+ years of experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases:
  • MySQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • MongoDB
  • DynamoDB 3+ years of experience with:
  • Encryption standards
  • AWS Secrets Manage
  • HashiCorp Vault
  • HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC2 compliance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Well-Architected Framework experience.
  • AWS cloud migration and modernization experience.
  • AWS cost optimization expertise.
  • Experience with:
  1. AWS Config
  2. Security Hub
  3. CloudWatch
  4. CloudTrail
  5. Splunk
  • Bash or PowerShell scripting.
  • AI/ML services such as SageMaker.
  • Multi-cloud experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Develop REST APIs and cloud-based applications.
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Design and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Implement cloud security controls and compliance standards.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Participate in cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and technical teams
