About the role

As SAP Consultant, Cash and Payments, Public Sector (all genders), you will contribute to sophisticated SAP solutions for public-sector customers. You will combine in-depth SAP expertise with an understanding of the specific requirements of public administrations. The role focuses on cash, payment and related financial processes.

As a Consultant, you will take on advisory work, contribute to solution design and provide support through Application Management.

Your responsibilities

Advising public-sector customers on the design, optimization and transformation of their SAP-based financial processes, with a focus on cash and payments Analyzing business and technical requirements and developing solutions Ensuring that cash and payment processes are integrated with the wider SAP landscape, and designing solutions for processes such as payment processing, receivables management, open items and cash desk operations Supporting SAP projects through multiple phases—from gathering and assessing business requirements through design and implementation to testing and go-live—as well as providing support through Application Management Working independently with business teams, development, Application Management and other project stakeholders Contributing to the ongoing development of our solutions, methods and best practices for SAP Public Sector Your profile You have solid experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and several years of consulting experience in finance, ideally with exposure to the public sector.

You are confident working with SAP Customizing and have practical experience in the technical configuration and adaptation of SAP Finance modules. You also have the following qualifications: Strong requirements analysis and solution design skills: The ability to document customer processes systematically and translate them into robust solution concepts Strong customer focus: Excellent communication skills and a professional manner when working directly with stakeholders Fluent German: Professional spoken and written German skills to support smooth project delivery The following would also be an advantage Knowledge of SAP industry solutions for the public sector, such as SAP PSCD or SAP PSM Proven experience in a responsible, hands-on role in public-sector implementation projects, including S/4HANA projects, or in Application Management Familiarity with the specific requirements of municipal and state finance, including cameral accounting and double-entry accounting Experience managing interfaces and integrating payment formats Does this sound like the right role for you?
