Sr. Solutions Architect - NPO, WWPS SA - NPO

Arlington, Virginia, USAFull-timePosted Apr 28, 2026

Job description

Application deadline: Oct 8, 2026 Help the largest membership organizations in the world modernize the systems their members depend on: professional associations, advocacy groups, faith-based networks, and credentialing bodies that collectively serve hundreds of millions of people, often on technology built decades ago.

We're hiring a Senior Solutions Architect to be the technical advisor their CIOs, CTOs, and engineering leaders call first. You'll own a portfolio of the most strategic accounts, working alongside an Account Manager, partners, and Professional Services. The work: getting these organizations off aging association management and CRM platforms, unifying decades of member data, launching generative AI assistants that let members self-serve, and building the security posture a board will sign off on.

What makes this a senior role: you set technical direction across your accounts, take the hardest problems personally, and make the SAs around you better through the patterns you publish and the people you coach.

Key job responsibilities

Key job responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical advisor to a portfolio of membership organization customers, owning architecture guidance across migration, modernization, data/analytics, AI/ML, and security domains
  • Partner with Account Managers to develop and execute account strategies, including technical discovery, solution design, and opportunity progression from Prospect through Launched
  • Lead customer-facing technical engagements including Well-Architected Reviews, Migration Assessments, architecture deep-dives,and generative AI accelerators (build days, Po. Cs, AI-DLC sessions)
  • Design and review architectures that address the specific needs of membership organizations: AMS/CRM modernization, member portal platforms, donation and payment systems, event platforms, and unified member data platforms
  • Evangelize AWS services through customer speaking engagements, blog posts, reference architectures, workshops, and conference presentations targeted at the nonprofit membership community
  • Collaborate with AWS service teams, specialist SAs, and Partners to deliver integrated solutions and to feed customer requirements back into AWS roadmaps via Product Feature Requests (PFRs)
  • Mentor junior SAs on the team and contribute to the broader AWS SA community through internal content, mock interviews, and technical field community initiatives A day in the life You might start the morning in an architecture review with a professional association planning a member-facing AI assistant, working out what's realistic before anyone writes a line of code. By mid-morning, you're whiteboarding a migration off VMware with the infrastructure team at a faith-based membership organization. After lunch, you help the CIO of an advocacy nonprofit frame a multi-year cloud strategy their board will actually fund, then coach a newer SA on their discovery plan for a certification body's CRM modernization. You close the day with your Account Manager, deciding which two accounts you'll go deep on next quarter.

About the team

We support the largest membership organizations in the world: professional associations, credentialing bodies, advocacy groups, and faith networks whose memberships run into the millions. They're mission-driven but commercially rigorous: decades of member data, consumer-scale renewal traffic, payment data to protect, and boards to answer to.

We're a small, high-trust team of senior SAs who each own a portfolio, work alongside an Account Manager, and lean on each other for whiteboarding and peer review. Problems range from GenAI latency tuning to mainframe modernization to zero-trust identity for member portals. We're distributed across the US and travel for the engagements that matter.
