We are seeking a full-time registered licensed nurse for our Nursing Manager position. This candidate is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operations of the nursing unit.

Essential Duties

Mentor/develop the clinical and supervisory skills of Charge Nurse and State Tested Nursing Assistants. Monitor operations of the units to ensure quality resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service. Work with staffing coordinator on scheduling. Evaluate unit policies, goals, and objectives; participate in the development and modification of unit programs.

Work with interdisciplinary team and family members to ensure individualized plan of care is modified and implemented as needed. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

On-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Must be a graduated of an approved school of nursing. Experience as a registered nurse in a long-term care environment preferred. Current valid nursing license. CPR Certification (Basic Life Support) is required. IV certified, knowledge of PCC is a plus.
