Adjunct Hiring Pool - English Department

Position Summary

Temporary, part-time adjunct faculty in the Department of English, which offers programs in English literature; English Education; Writing, Editing, and Publishing; and Film Studies. Candidates must be available to teach face-to-face, not remotely. Please note that the majority of adjunct teaching opportunities is available in the area of college writing.

Minimum Qualifications

MA or equivalent in a discipline appropriate to the one in which the candidate wishes to teach (e.g., Rhetoric and Composition, English, English Education, Film Studies) Commitment to and evidence of quality instruction at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in a discipline appropriate to the one in which the candidate wishes to teach (e.g., Rhetoric and Composition, English, English Education, Film Studies) Past record of successful college-level teaching experience in the discipline of employment. Experience using the Canvas learning platform and with courses that have received Quality Matters approval.
