Engagement Specialist

The Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining engagement and participation of the client throughout the entire program lifecycle.

Duties and responsibilities

Support the Client Engagement Manager to assist with clients to develop and support their reentry plan Utilize technology to track and report on the activities and results of participants Filing and maintaining case history reports Interviewing clients to assess their situational needs Determining which services and assistance are necessary Serving as a liaison between the client and social, financial, health and legal services Developing a plan of action to improve the client’s well-being Planning regular follow-ups to assess progress and additional needs Reviewing and modifying plans as circumstances change for the individual Qualifications Ability to clear Department of Corrections visitor background process Compassionate and able to relate to different clients with various needs Motivational to encourage clients to follow their care plans Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain to clients, family members and friends and professionals the case and care plan and maintain good case records Critical thinking and problem solving to determine the best care plan for each client after assessing clients, analyzing notes from health care and social workers Flexibility to change care plans if they are not getting the best results Organization to manage several different cases at once Computer literacy to maintain and manage case records.

Education/ Experience Advanced educations or training in related field or equivalent experience preferred 3-5 years of case management, adult education, or non-profit program management Experience scheduling/managing and tracking programs or activities Working conditions/ Physical requirements This position is performed in an office environment.

Essential physical requirements of this job include: Ability to move wrists, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive motion. Ability to continuously stand, walk, reach, kneel, bend, stoop, push/pull, and sit. Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally. Communicating effectively with employees, vendors, and clients. Continuously working at a desk and computer screen at least 50% of the time.
