Lathe Operators

Location: Apple Creek, OH Pay: $25–$35/hour Duration: 6 weeks Schedule: 40+ hours per week Job Type: Contract Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Lathe Operators for a 6-week manufacturing project in Apple Creek, OH. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating lathes, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring tools to produce accurate, quality parts.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual or CNC lathes according to production requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Select and install appropriate tooling for production. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances. Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.

Perform in-process and finished-product quality checks. Identify and troubleshoot basic machining or quality issues. Maintain proper machine operation and production output. Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

Previous lathe operating or machining experience required. Experience with manual and/or CNC lathes preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and machining processes. Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable with a strong work ethic. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Available Shifts 1st: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM 2nd: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM 3rd: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM Travel & Per Diem $179 per day per diem ($1,247 per week) paid for all days while traveling.
