Hospice RN Weeknight On-Call

James River Hospice is actively seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice RN Weeknight On-Call to join our growing team in Richmond, VA! In this role, you will provide after-hours hospice nursing care, respond to patient needs, complete assessments and admissions as needed, and coordinate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure patients and families receive exceptional care.

Schedule: Monday

• Thursday 5 PM- 8 AM Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 What We Offer Competitive salary Generous car and travel allowances Company-paid cell phone and tablet Generous time-off package: 21 days off (15 PTO days and 6 paid holidays), accruing from day one Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contributions Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance Company-paid life insurance up to $50,000 401(k) with employer match Career advancement opportunities Proactive Health Management Wellness Program (PHMP) Company-paid CPR recertification Key Responsibilities Respond to after-hours patient calls and provide nursing visits as needed Complete initial patient and family assessments to determine hospice needs Perform hospice admissions as assigned Develop and update individualized plans of care Provide pain and symptom management Monitor, document, and report changes in patient conditions Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team Obtain physician orders as needed Coordinate care with LPNs and hospice aides Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families Complete required clinical documentation Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia Minimum of one year of hospice nursing experience required Graduate of an accredited nursing program Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently during overnight on-call hours Join James River Hospice!
