• Wilmette, IL, Position Type: Part Time Year Round, Education Level: Not Specified, Salary Range: $16.00Hourly, Job Shift: Various, Job Category: Recreation, Job Summary: The Junior Ice Skating Instructor will be responsible for assisting the Lead Instructor with teaching recreational beginner skating classes, with safety and technique as the primary focus. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Help teach participants in the program from age 3-18 years old Follow class curriculum as provided by class instructor/supervisor Learn information about Ice Skating programs Attend staff meetings as scheduled Work collaboratively with other staff as needed Be a positive role model for students Help with motivational support and guidance to participants Actively support the agencys risk management protocol that will effectively control and reduce accidents Obey the practical safety rules, regulations and procedures established by the Safety Committee, attend and participate in required safety trainings Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices or conditions to the immediate supervisor Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs Required Skills/Abilities (Technology, Mathematical, Language): Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong leadership skills Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to take initiative and use good judgement in responding to situations that arise Ability to take direction and adapt to the work environment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Education and/or Experience: Must be at least 15 years of age Must have experience in ice skating at an advanced level Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position including standing, bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and lifting Exposure to cleaning and disinfecting supplies Exposure to noise and cold temperature Qualifications:
