Environmental Project Manager

In this role, you will manage a variety of environmental projects from proposal through completion, partnering with clients, technical experts, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Apply today. Manage environmental projects from planning through delivery, ensuring safety, scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are achieved. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and build strong, lasting relationships. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, proposals, and work plans. Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with environmental professionals across Terracon's nationwide network.

Monitor project performance, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track. Lead project meetings, prepare technical reports, and communicate project status to clients and stakeholders. Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and expanding client relationships.

Review project financials, oversee invoicing and collections, and support overall project profitability. Champion Terracon's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field and at least 5 years of related experience.

In lieu of a degree, 9+ years of related environmental consulting experience. Demonstrated experience in managing environmental projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships. Strong communication, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or other relevant professional registration/certification. Demonstrated experience working in local, state (Iowa), and federal regulatory programs. Established client relationships, business development experience, and understanding of local markets.
