Responsibilities
Assist with end‑to‑end onboarding for B2B clients (EAMs, family offices, Type 1/9 licensees) and their underlying clients/beneficial owners. Collect, validate and prepare account opening documentation (entity/individual identification, proof of address, incorporation documents, ownership charts, mandates, signing authorities).
Conduct AML/KYC checks on entities and individuals including PEP/sanctions screening, source of wealth/funds assessments and risk profiling. Escalate and document suspicious activities or complex ownership structures to Compliance and Senior Management. Collect and validate tax documentation (e.g., W‑8/W‑9, CRS, FATCA forms) for clients and underlying parties.
Perform periodic KYC refreshes, client reviews and documentation updates according to risk-based schedules. Execute quality assurance checks on onboarding files and client records to maintain audit readiness. Coordinate custodian selection and account linking for new clients; manage custodian paperwork and operational set-up.
Provide consultative guidance on client structure implications for custody and transfer processes. Work with Product, Technology and system QA teams to design and enhance onboarding workflows and client‑structure modules within the Wealth. Tech platform. Provide timely responses to ad‑hoc client queries and maintain clear, professional client communication logs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, Compliance, or related field preferred. 5 years of hands-on experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML, client operations, or compliance support Strong understanding of KYC/AML processes, sanctions/PEP screening, FATCA/CRS, and relevant local/regional regulatory requirements, preferably within wealth management, private banking, or custody/prime brokerage environments.
Experience with B2B client types (EAMs, family offices, licensed firms) is highly desirable. Familiarity with onboarding/KYC platforms, client relationship management (CRM) systems, and document management tools. Understanding of high-level equities, fixed income, funds, ETFs, FX and derivatives trade flow which may affect client’s account setup.
Knowledge of custody/settlement cycles and corporate action conventions for account setup handling. Excellent written and verbal communication; client‑service orientation and the ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly to non‑compliance stakeholders. Proactive, solutions‑oriented, collaborative, and able to work across compliance, product, technology and client teams.
