To work in a Federal Work Study position, you must: Be a Clatsop Community College student enrolled at least half-time Complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need Have a confirmed Federal Work Study award through Financial Aid Complete all required Human Resources onboarding before beginning work Important: You may not begin working until your Federal Work Study eligibility has been confirmed and you have completed the hiring process.

How Does Work Study Pay? Federal Work Study is earn-as-you-go financial aid . Instead of receiving your award as a lump sum or having it automatically applied to tuition and fees, you receive a monthly paycheck for the hours you work . The amount you can earn and the number of hours you can work are based on your Federal Work Study award.
