Hat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu) and Windows OS 4-6 years professional systems maintenance experience in Linux & Windows operating systems including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Experience with Linux & Windows servers including demonstrated expertise in performance tuning, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance Proven experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting Linux/Windows on various hardware makes/models as well as in virtualized environments Strong knowledge of SAN storage technologies.

Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and server environments. Experience with monitoring, metrics, and log aggregation and visualization tools (Nagios, Zenoss in particular) Experience with the Unix CLI, debugging tools, and network stack. Working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Working knowledge of Oracle Weblogic server (developing/deploying support). Working knowledge of core networking, subnetting, Firewalls, and routing. Perform configurations and adjustments to enhance system performance. Perform automated and manual backup and restorative processes. Experience working with VM virtualization framework. (Ex: OVM, VMware) Knowledge of Deployment and operations of containers using Docker/Kubernetes is a plus Functional knowledge of core network protocols such as TCP/IP, SSH, SMTP, NFS and DNS Ability to write and edit scripts to automate regular operational tasks Knowledge of deployment framework such as Puppet, Ansible, is a plus Knowledge and experience with shell scripting Solid understanding of Linux & Windows based operating system including paging and swapping, inter-process communication, devices and what device drivers do, filesystem concepts (inode, clustering, logical partitions), etc. is a must Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain detailed documentation. Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility. Must be creative and can look at problems from multiple vantage points Ability to multi-task, prioritizes workload, and successfully handles competing deadlines
