Scheduler Department: Endoscopy Full Time, Day Shift Schedule: Full-time Days / 8 Hr Shift Facility: Central Maine Medical Center Location: Lewiston, Maine, 04240 Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations.

Responsibilities

The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator routinely books surgical cases for pediatric, adolescent, adult and older adult patients for the OR and the G.I. Lab. Coordinates and confirms the acquisition of services, equipment, instrumentation and supplies from outside vendors for scheduled surgeries. Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on call list to appropriate departments or personnel.

Checks, enters and reconciles the daily patient charges. Prepares and distributes the monthly surgical statistics. Updates the Surgery Schedules and completes the required Log Book. Answers phones and appropriately communicates messages. Assists OR Director and Charge Nurse with additional clerical duties. Works with coworkers, other departments and outside companies, assisting with the provision of safe, efficient and quality patient care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Previous experience in a Medical Care Setting. Knowledge of Medical Terminology. Strong clerical and computer skills. Command of the English language. Strong interpersonal skills. Previous experience in the OR preferred. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. Pay Transparency Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.

00 to $22.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
