Network Engineer (Information Technology)

Description Martignetti is looking for an experienced Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building reliable infrastructure, and working with a collaborative IT team. In this role, you will help design, support, secure, and improve the network that connects our corporate, warehouse, and remote locations.

You will work hands-on with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, remote access, and core network services while also contributing to infrastructure projects that support the business.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, DMZ, wireless, firewall, remote access, and security environments. Troubleshoot complex network issues and serve as a senior escalation point when support teams need deeper technical guidance. Lead and support projects such as site buildouts, hardware refreshes, firewall updates, network segmentation, and circuit upgrades.

Monitor network availability and performance and recommend improvements that increase reliability, security, and scalability. Maintain clear network documentation, diagrams, standards, procedures, and implementation plans. Support core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, authentication, and related infrastructure dependencies.

Work with internal teams, carriers, vendors, and managed service providers to resolve issues and deliver network improvements. Participate in change control, maintenance windows, disaster recovery planning, and occasional after-hours support. Participate in an on call 7 x 24 rotation Requirements Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, remote access, segmentation, and network security technologies.

Experience with Sonicwall firewalls, Cisco or Aruba switches, Cisco or Aruba wireless access points, and controllers. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, access control lists, network address translation, quality of service, high availability, eBGP, iBGP, EIGRP, and OSPF. Experience using monitoring, logging, packet capture, configuration backup, troubleshooting, and performance analysis tools.

Experience with network monitoring and management tools Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent hands-on experience are a plus. A collaborative working style, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both IT and business partners.

Education/Experience/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field is preferred 3-5 years of enterprise network engineering experience Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $90,000-$100,000 Bonus: Eligible to earn up to a 5% Incentive Bonus annually Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans Physical Demands and Environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
