Hiring Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) in Fort Defiance, AZ

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in Adult and Pediatric Medical-Surgical settings. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

50/hour 36 hour/ weeks guarantee Schedule 12-hour night shifts Typical schedule alternates between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next Up to 1 on-call shift per week Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed Holiday coverage is required Maximum of 2 shift call-offs during the assignment RTO for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be accepted Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive patient-care environment. Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies. Follow established infection-control, safety, and quality standards.

Participate in on-call coverage as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience required. Medical-Surgical experience required. Experience with both adult and pediatric patients preferred. BLS/BCLS certification required. ACLS certification required. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Must be flexible with scheduling, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
