<div class="trix-content"> <div>Specific Duties & Responsibilities:</div><div> </div><div>Support departments in digital service delivery improvement and implementation</div><div> </div><ul> <li>Lead a large-scale transformation that involves multiple stakeholders, constituencies, and agencies</li> <li>Be a critical thinker who challenges the status quo and encourages creative ways to overcome roadblocks</li> <li>Utilize preexisting research (and collect new data as needed) to inform the redesign of the digital hiring system </li> <li>Facilitate cross-departmental workshops mapping business processes and relating them to user research and city technology capabilities</li> <li>Conduct usability testing to confirm and identify job applicant and hiring staff pain points as needed</li> <li>Create site maps, flow diagrams, storyboards, wireframes showcasing interaction flows, information architecture and designs to combat these pain points and improve the hiring experience</li> <li>Support the People Soft expert in prioritizing and implementing system changes based on pre-existing user research </li> <li>Utilize UX expertise to design the most seamless and efficient hiring process for front and back-end users</li> <li>Apply a UI style guide to create visual designs for all pages on the website within the PeopleSoft system and support testing, refinement, and implementation of those designs</li> <li>Lead the implementation of UX and UI changes to the hiring website in collaboration with the Office of Chief Technology Office (OCTO) the Department of Human Resources</li> <li>Help set and achieve defined targets of impact by monitoring performance and helping course correct when needed</li> </ul><div>Minimum Qualifications:</div><div> </div><ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant practical experience in user experience, human-centered design, collaborative solution creation, visual communication, and implementation skill sets </li> <li>10+ years of professional level experience in a relevant field</li> <li>Expertise in human centered design innovation, UX design, and visual design, included design research, data synthesis, co-creation, prototyping, testing, iteration, and implementation</li> <li>Demonstrated ability in managing complex digital design and implementation projects in a government environment </li> <li>Demonstrated ability conducting user research and translating raw data into insights</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to display large amounts of information in simple, easy to understand formats</li> <li>Ability to work both independently, and cooperatively within a team, leveraging other team member’s work and abilities</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build good relationships with teammates, city staff, and diverse community stakeholders.</li> <li>Experience facilitating workshops and other meetings with senior-level stakeholders </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to summarize and explain complex situations in both written and verbal form</li> <li>Strong desire to improve local government services</li> <li>High resilience and patience in working with people of varying levels of interest in digital service redesign</li> <li>Strong project management background with the proven ability to establish targets and deliver measurable results on time and within budget </li> <li>Superior organizational skills and ability to set priorities and respond quickly as priorities change</li> <li>Familiarity with PeopleSoft (preferred but not mandatory)</li> <li>Familiarity with HTML </li> <li>Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Adobe Sketch (or equivalent etc), MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook</li> </ul><div>Work Schedule / Environment:</div><div> </div><ul> <li>In the office four days a week between Monday – Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM</li> <li>Rare occasions of before/after-hours work will be needed to capture certain research opportunities</li> </ul> </div>
