General Surgeon

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Surgeon to join our hospital team. In this vital role, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a wide range of surgical procedures, diagnosing patient conditions, and ensuring optimal post-operative care. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and formulate effective surgical treatment plans for patients. Perform various general surgical procedures with precision, adhering to the highest standards of clinical practice and safety protocols. Provide clear and empathetic communication to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, surgical options, and recovery expectations.

Ensure the safe handling of patients throughout all stages of care, from admission to discharge, minimizing risks and complications. Monitor patient progress post-surgery, managing pain, wound care, and any potential adverse reactions promptly. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and other specialists, to deliver coordinated and holistic patient care.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in general surgery within a hospital setting. Proficiency in core surgical techniques and a strong understanding of general surgical principles. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical colleagues.

Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, including the ability to handle patients with care and attention to detail. Relevant medical degree and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
