Public Affairs Volunteer
Job description
Planned Parenthood of Northern New England is looking for a part-time or full-time Public Affairs volunteer at our Portland Administration offices.The volunteer we are looking for will need to be available to make a minimum commitment of 10-15 hours a week, with hybrid in-person (Portland area) and virtual availability.
Volunteers will undergo extensive training on how to speak with patients and supporters about Planned Parenthood’s advocacy work in the health center and community, as well as our organization’s role in advocacy for sexual and reproductive healthcare access. This is an ideal experience for students interested in women and gender studies or plans to have a career in non-profit agencies, politics, public affairs, government relations, public health, or community outreach and marketing.
