FWS Math Tutor - Fall 2026

ONLY STUDENTS ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL WORK-STUDY (FWS) MAY APPLY Position Summary: The Math Tutor position at Maharishi School is designed to provide targeted remedial support to students struggling with mathematics concepts and skills. Working one-on-one after school, the tutor assists students from grades 3 through 12 in improving their mathematical proficiency and confidence, contributing to their overall academic success.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver personalized math instruction to students in grades 3 through 12, adapting teaching methods to address individual learning styles and proficiency levels. Maintain regular attendance and effective communication with students, parents, teachers, and division directors to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Adjust teaching strategies to cater to students with varying levels of math proficiency, ensuring concepts are explained in a way that promotes understanding and mastery. Track and assess student progress, identifying areas of improvement and adjusting teaching approaches accordingly to provide effective remedial support.

Job Qualifications: Strong understanding of mathematics and excellent math skills essential for effectively assisting students across a range of math topics and difficulties. Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts and explain them clearly to remedial math students, helping them build a strong foundation in mathematics.

Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for students with varying math proficiency levels.
