Marketing Intern (In Person Event Support)

Naki. Noku in Chicago IL is seeking an Marketing Intern (In Person Event Support) to join our team and support in person events such as farmers markets, and other local events! Naki. Noku ( http://www.nakinoku.com ) is an online packaged food discovery platform. We manufacture and distribute samples of packaged food direct to consumers, allowing consumers to taste new flavors, while enabling low cost consumer acquisition for small brands - supporting minority and woman-owned businesses, all while reducing food waste!

Nakinoku has also launched an in-house brand of globally inspired sauces and dry rubs ( www.serangoonmarket.com ) which will serve as a testbed for our sampling innovation. We’re excited by the opportunity to enable small businesses in the consumer packaged goods space, and especially so, given the unique and innovative food concepts that we are able to promote.

For instance, we have on our sampling platform, a BBQ sauce that dates back to the civil war, a chocolate based BBQ sauce and a garbanzo based peanut butter alternative that promotes food inclusivity. We are looking for a Marketing Intern to help us present the brand and proposition to consumers IRL. This would include planning for, setting up, and promoting the brand to consumers. The right candidate should enjoy people interaction, being creative, and understand how to both build rapport with a diverse customer base.

• Understand the proposition of both Nakinoku and our in-house brand, Serangoon Market, and be able to articulate and promote both elements.
• Physically support the team in setting up and running a market stall
• Support with planning and logistics for events
• Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors and/or industry, keeping up with the trends.
• Be willing to engage with our customers and be the "face of the brand"
• Assist with the creation of shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand, our partner brands and our content.
