Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck as assigned. Pick up and deliver LTL freight to customers throughout the local service area. Perform multiple pickups and deliveries each day. Inspect freight for visible damage and verify shipment quantities and documentation. Obtain customer signatures and properly complete delivery and pickup paperwork.

Provide professional and courteous customer service at each stop. Follow all company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, hours of service, and vehicle inspections. Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report equipment problems, freight damage, delays, accidents, or other issues to management.

Maintain compliance with all applicable FMCSA, DOT, and company safety regulations . Maintain a clean and professional appearance. A minimum age of 2 years of age or older. All city tractor-trailer drivers must have two years of verifiable driving experience. Clean Driving Record Clean Drug and alcohol Clearinghouse Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
