Loan Servicing Representative- Temporary

Summary of Primary Functions Under close direction will serve as loan servicing general representative responsible for supporting the servicing and lending departments. Will be responsible for one or more areas including, but not limited to, loan servicing, consumer lending, real estate, DMV, insurance, loan auditing and reporting.

Process large quantities of transactions within limited time constraints. Perform other clerical duties as assigned. Some duties may be performed by other staff as determined by management. Responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures. Skills and Abilities High school graduate or equivalent.

Two years experience in a financial institution, with an emphasis on consumer loan and real estate loan servicing. Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and communication abilities. Basic knowledge of loan collection documentation and associated regulations. Basic knowledge of practices and procedures within area of concentration.

Must be proficient at using a 10-key keypad. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist members with daily telephone, email and fax inquiries Provide courteous, prompt and exceptional service for all members and/or vendor inquiries Assist with general loan servicing department duties, as assigned Obtain a comprehensive knowledge of all products and services Respond to member inquiries regarding products, services, transaction and account maintenance Handles both routine and non-routine consumer and real estate loan account adjustments and corrections Process payments, deposits, transfers, reversals, perform account maintenance and end of day balancing Process pay by phone payments and reporting Handles payoff request for consumer and real estate May assists with reconveyances and subordinations Monitor and review loan servicing reports as assigned Coordinate payment of insurance providers for repairs to member collateral that is securing loans May assist with real estate, insurance, DMV and/or audit functions within the loan servicing department May assist with FRB pledging of loans as assigned Perform clerical functions including, but not limited to, computer input and typing of designated forms Maintain current awareness of appropriate regulation laws, internal policies, procedures and practices Troubleshoot various problems and properly escalate to management as needed Perform other duties as assigned Compensation and Job Title is commensurate with experience and may fall under the following pay ranges: Loan Servicing Representative- $24/hr to $27/hr Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
