Senior Accounts Executive

Carmart, a pioneer in the Sri Lankan automotive industry, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. Job Duties / Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow monitoring.

Coordination with financial institutions, preparing and follow-up on Letters of Credit (LC’s) and prepare import costing. Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, financial statements, and vehicle inventory valuations. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, SSCL, Income Tax, and other local automotive/import levies).

Liaise with banks, auditors, and Government bodies regarding financial documentation.

Qualifications

& Experience Professional Status: Part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, CA or Full AAT. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, with direct experience in vehicle imports or the automotive trade being highly preferred. Skills Solid understanding of Import Customs, foreign currency transactions, and import procedures.

Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail. Language: Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala (both written and verbal).
