Fire Inspector/Investigator

A Fire Inspector/Investigator  independently conducts state-mandated fire inspections in accordance with the North Carolina Fire Code as well as performs field inspections for new construction projects. This position also responds to emergency scenes and provides technical support for fire origin and cause investigations while working closely with the Deputy Code Administrator

• Fire Marshal. This role requires significant time conducting field inspections across a variety of community and common areas of multi-family residential properties. The position also requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergency situations.
