Varsity Boys Soccer Coach

Position: Varsity Boys Soccer Coach School: Plainfield High School Department: Athletics Reports To: Athletic Director Type: Seasonal / Stipend Position Position Overview Plainfield High School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Varsity Boys Soccer Coach to lead our student-athletes. The ideal candidate will foster athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth while building a competitive and positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and game strategies. Teach core soccer mechanics, field strategy, and physical conditioning. Maintain team discipline, promote good sportsmanship, and foster academic accountability. Manage equipment, team rosters, and game-day logistics in coordination with the Athletic Director.

Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and community members. Ensure compliance with all state athletic association, district, and school rules.

Qualifications

& Requirements Previous coaching experience (preferred). Strong knowledge of soccer rules, fundamentals, and safety guidelines. Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (or ability to obtain before season start). Completion of required state athletic coaching certifications and background check. Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
