Engineer - Instrumentation

Summary: Responsible for specifying all process instrumentation and verifying the process information (steam flow, pressure drops, temperatures, etc.) supplied by the mechanical engineer can be accomplished with properly supplied instrumentation per applicable codes, Company standards, customer specifications, and contract requirements.

Process instrumentation includes all process monitoring equipment (transmitters, drum level monitoring equipment, flow elements, etc.) and process controlling equipment (control valves, desuperheaters, bypass valves, etc.) The Instrument Engineer works with engineering partners to verify that the boiler meets all requirements for process control and monitoring.
