IT Application Administrator

Position Purpose: The Application Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, and optimization of healthcare applications utilized by Doctors Health. Care Plans. This position ensures applications operate efficiently, securely, and in compliance with organizational, regulatory, and business requirements.

The Application Administrator collaborates with internal departments and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement system enhancements, manage user access, and support application performance.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain user accounts and access based on security roles Monitor application performance and availability, and document and analyze problems Work closely with IT and application vendors to tune applications and troubleshoot problems Develop and carry out test plans to verify the logic of new or modified applications Maintain system documentation, policies and procedures Plan, coordinate, test and communicate changes, upgrades, maintenance schedules and new services with IT Read vendor release notes, understand the implications of upgrades and new versions, and provide advice to end users Ensure appropriate controls and audit logs are in place and reviewed Provide advice and training to end users Review governing regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure applications are supported in compliance Apply and promote IT security best practices across supported applications Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and busines Qualifications: Understanding of the workflow and process requirements of the business units that use each application Outstanding customer service Subject matter expertise in supporting, maintaining and administering complex applications Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including complex troubleshooting methods Excellent verbal and written communication Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Planning, organizing and project management Administration of healthcare applications Role-based security and user access management Application testing and change management Audit logging and IT security controls Training skills are highly desirable Note: This description indicates, in general terms, the type and level of work performed and responsibilities held by the team meber(s).
