Job description
About Git. Guardian Git. Guardian is a global cybersecurity scale-up with offices in Paris, New York City, and Boston. Our early investors include Scott Chacon, co-founder of GitHub, and Solomon Hykes, co-founder of Docker, alongside leading US and European VC firms. We raised our Series C in early 2026. Git. Guardian helps enterprises close credential-based breach paths.
It finds secrets wherever they live, prioritizes remediation based on rich context, and prevents new exposure across code, systems, and AI. The Git. Guardian platform is already used by more than 600K developers worldwide and by 50 of the Fortune 500! About your team and your mission Our Growth market segment covers companies with up to 1,000 employees.
It’s a fast-moving, high-volume space where strong outbound instincts and a relentless prospecting mindset make all the difference. You will join our Business Development team in New York or Boston, working closely with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Jason, our Head of Business Development. More than 70% of our customers are in the US, so you’ll be at the heart of our largest market.
This is a high-velocity role. Your main mission is to generate qualified pipeline by finding and engaging security, engineering, and DevOps decision-makers at companies that could benefit from Git. Guardian. You will be the first touchpoint for many of our future customers.
About you
If you think you match at least 70% of these criteria, please apply! Here's what we consider essential for success in this role: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Prior experience in a sales or outbound role, such as BDR, SDR, Inside Sales, or a similar position where you were actively prospecting or selling.
You are a hunter and find creative ways to prospect and engage the targeted profiles. You’re comfortable with a high-volume motion selling to SMB and growth-market companies. You’re energized by activity and quick cycles, and you consider yourself agile. Real curiosity about the Git. Guardian product and the cybersecurity space.
You don’t need to be a technical expert, but you’re keen to understand what you’re selling. You’re a self-starter who thrives in a lean environment and doesn’t need a large team, heavy process, or a built-out playbook to get going. Positivity, coachability, and a willingness to grow in the role. The following skills would strengthen your application but aren’t required: Direct BDR experience at a tech or SaaS company in New York or Boston.
Experience at a small startup or scale-up: you understand what it means to build things from scratch. Familiarity with Git. Guardian, secrets detection, App. Sec, or the Dev. Sec. Ops ecosystem. Hands-on experience with modern outbound tools: a CRM (Hub. Spot is a plus), sales engagement platforms, or prospecting tools.
The interview process
- Video call with a Talent Acquisition team member A first chat to learn about your professional experience and motivation, and to see if there could be a mutual match.
- Interview with the Hiring Manager A conversation with Jason, Head of Business Development to learn more about your achievements and introduce you to the team and the role.
- Business case + BDR team (onsite in New York) An onsite round combining your hybrid business case presentation with team interviews. You’ll meet members of the BDR team and possibly a leader from the sales or marketing team in person. 4.1 Executive interview A final interview with Rachel, our VP GTM Americas, and/or Eric, our CEO, to go over our company’s vision and ambitions for the global sales team. 4.2 Reference check Start thinking about two people who can speak to your previous or current professional experience. They should be as recent as possible, and we will call them at the end of the process.
