Digital Technical Architect

We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of customer-facing digital solutions within the insurance sector. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers focused on creating innovative web and mobile interfaces that drive business transformation.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of sophisticated web and mobile solutions using JavaScript and React. Collaboration: Partner with UX designers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality single-page applications (SPAs) and digital services. Technical Execution: Apply deep expertise in CSS, SASS, and server-side technologies such as JSON/RPC and REST.

Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain automated unit testing frameworks, specifically using Jest and Enzyme. Mentorship: Guide development teams and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Modernization: Support migration projects from legacy frameworks (AngularJS) to modern React-based architectures.

Client Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders in both Japanese and English and travel for onsite client engagements as required.

Requirements

Experience: At least 5 years of software development experience specializing in web technologies. Technical Proficiency: Proven experience building web/mobile services and single-page applications. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and solve complex technical problems. Language Skills: Fluency in Japanese and strong business-level English.

Adaptability: A willingness to learn and implement proprietary enterprise design systems. Nice-to-Have Skills: Industry Knowledge: Prior experience within the insurance industry. Design Tools: Exposure to UX prototyping and design tools such as Figma, In. Vision, or Sketch. Communication: Ability to communicate in additional languages.
