About the Role
As a Cocktail Server in the accommodation and food services industry, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by efficiently serving beverages and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your primary focus will be to take orders, serve cocktails and other drinks promptly, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
You will interact with guests to provide recommendations, answer questions about the menu, and handle transactions accurately. This role requires attentiveness to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a memorable and enjoyable atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
Legal age to serve alcohol as per local regulations. Previous experience in a customer service or food and beverage role. Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience specifically as a cocktail server or bartender. Knowledge of cocktail recipes and mixology techniques. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent). Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and take drink orders accurately, providing recommendations when requested. Prepare and serve cocktails and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Ensure timely delivery of drinks to guests while maintaining a clean and organized service area. Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and process transactions efficiently.
Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns to enhance their experience. Collaborate with bartenders and other team members to maintain smooth service flow. Adhere to all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations and company policies. Skills: The required skills such as communication and customer service are essential for engaging with guests and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
Attention to detail and basic math skills are used daily to accurately take orders and handle payments without errors. Physical stamina is important to maintain energy and efficiency throughout long shifts involving standing and walking.
Preferred skills
