A Medical Assistant will typically room patients, take vitals, draw blood, and administer medications as needed. What Qualifications do I need as a Medical Assistant? A Certified Medical Assistant has a Washington State Department of Health license.

A Certified Medical Assistant has also passed the National Medical Assistant Certification Exam (AAMA or NCCT).
