About the Role
As a Chemical Process Engineer in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and overseeing chemical processes to ensure efficient and safe production. Your work will directly impact the quality and sustainability of manufacturing operations, particularly in areas involving heat exchangers, filtration, and wastewater treatment.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop process simulations and improvements that enhance productivity while minimizing environmental impact. This role requires a deep understanding of material properties and refinery operations to troubleshoot and innovate manufacturing processes. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to advancing the company’s capabilities in water treatment and process engineering, supporting both operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or refinery environment. Strong knowledge of heat exchangers, filtration techniques, and wastewater treatment processes. Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to environmental and safety standards in manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Experience with advanced process control and automation systems. Knowledge of sustainable manufacturing practices and water treatment innovations. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Experience working in cross-functional teams within large-scale manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes related to heat exchangers, filtration systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. Conduct process simulations and modeling to predict performance and identify areas for improvement in manufacturing operations. Analyze material properties and process data to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions in refinery and water treatment processes.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and environmental teams to ensure processes meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process reliability, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance. Skills: The required skills such as heat exchangers, filtration, and wastewater treatment are applied daily to design and optimize chemical processes that ensure efficient and environmentally compliant operations.
Understanding material properties allows you to select appropriate materials and troubleshoot process issues effectively. Process simulation skills enable you to model complex systems, predict outcomes, and implement improvements before physical trials, saving time and resources. Knowledge of refinery and water treatment processes is essential for maintaining product quality and meeting regulatory standards.
Preferred skills
like advanced process control and sustainable manufacturing practices further enhance your ability to innovate and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
