Position Name: Special Education Assistant � Food Service Assistant (Temporary position anticipated to end June 2027) Classification: Classified SEA Salary Level: $17.61 - $21.69 (25/26 rate) FSA Salary Level: $16.50 - $20.29 (25/26 rate) Location: Tangent Elementary School Reports to: Building Principal Shift: 6.50 hours per day (6 hours SEA, 30 minutes FSA) Work Calendar: 179 days, 9 month Elementary Required: two years of college (minimum 72 credits in academic coursework), Associates Degree or higher, or pass the Highly Qualified exam.

SEA Position Overview: Under direct teacher supervision, performs a variety of tasks assisting a teacher in the development of an instructional program by working with students individually or in small groups. Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and conducts planned activities using teacher designated methods and materials.

In addition, provides assistance for the physically and intellectually disabled, learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, etc. FSA Position Overview: Preparation, service, and cleanup of the food service program for school facilities.
