What You'll Do
As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced life support care, assess patient needs, and safely transport patients while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and customer service.
Responsibilities include

Providing emergency and non-emergency patient care and transportation
-
Assessing, treating, and monitoring patients in accordance with established protocols
-
Administering medications and advanced clinical interventions within scope of practice
-
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, first responders, and receiving facilities
-
Completing accurate and timely patient care documentation
-
Maintaining ambulance readiness, cleanliness, and equipment accountability
-
Ensuring compliance with all safety, operational, and clinical standards
-
Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
Clinical Environment
Team members may have opportunities to care for a diverse patient population, including:

Emergency and urgent patient transports

Hospital discharges and specialty patient movements

Electronic patient care reporting (ePCR)

Qualifications
Required:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Current Texas Paramedic certification
-
Current BLS certification
-
Current ACLS certification
-
Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Preferred:
-
PALS certification (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe)
-
Previous EMS or critical care transport experience
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely, with or without assistance
-
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
-
Ability to work in varying environmental and weather conditions
-
Ability to perform duties in high-stress and physically demanding situations
