Solutions Architect - NPO, Membership Account Team

Arlington, Virginia, USAFull-timePosted Jun 10, 2026

Job description

Help the largest membership-based nonprofits in the United States build on AWS: national associations, religious organizations, charities, and member-services groups whose missions reach tens of millions of Americans every year. These are accounts where a single architectural decision can affect millions of members or program participants.

We're hiring a Solutions Architect to own the technical relationship with a handful of these accounts, working alongside an Account Executive from the first conversation through production. The work right now: generative AI that makes it to production, contact centers that can hold a real conversation, and data that non-technical staff can query themselves.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship with a handful of the largest membership nonprofits in the country. You set the architecture direction from the first discovery call through production, and your Account Executive counts on you for every major decision.
  • Take generative AI past the pilot stage. You'll ship production applications on Amazon Bedrock that members actually use, which means choosing models, tuning latency, getting retrieval right, building agents, and putting guardrails in place so the organization is comfortable going live.
  • Modernize how these organizations talk to their members and understand their data, from voice-enabled AI contact centers on Amazon Connect to analytics that non-technical staff can query in plain English, and the data pipelines underneath.
  • Be credible with engineers and executives alike. Run hands-on workshops with customer builders, then turn mission priorities into the architectures, cost estimates, and roadmaps a CIO can take to the board. Success looks like being asked back for the next big decision.
  • Make the whole team better. The demos and patterns you build get reused by SAs across the org, and you coach newer A day in the life You might start the day with your Account Executive, planning the next move on a key deal. By mid-morning, you're in an architecture review with a national association that's about to launch an AI assistant for its members, working through latency tradeoffs, data ingestion, and what breaks at scale. After lunch, you show a charity's fundraising team how to query their donor data in plain English, then help their CIO make the case to the board. You end the day building a new demo with a teammate you're mentoring.

About the team

We support the country's largest membership-based nonprofits, whose missions reach tens of millions of Americans on a fraction of a comparable company's technology budget. Everything you design has to be something a lean team can run and a board can justify. We're a small, player-coach team: you own your accounts, partner daily with your Account Executive, and build demos with SAs across AWS's nonprofit group.

We care that the job fits in a workweek, that you grow fast, and that you know who's on the other end of your architecture: a member renewing online, a congregant, someone calling a helpline. - 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.
