Job description
Imaging Center Manager Summary The Imaging Center Manager oversees the daily administrative, clinical, and operational functions of the imaging center to ensure efficient operations, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and an excellent patient experience. This role manages clinical and administrative staff, patient scheduling and workflow, departmental performance, and operational improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily imaging center operations, including clinical workflows, scheduling, registration, and patient flow. Supervise imaging technologists, clinical support personnel, and administrative staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and corrective actions. Monitor staffing, productivity, appointment availability, patient wait times, equipment utilization, and operational performance.
Ensure compliance with applicable clinical protocols, organizational policies, licensing, credentialing, radiation safety, and quality assurance requirements. Collaborate with physicians, clinical personnel, and leadership to resolve operational issues and improve patient care. Address patient concerns and implement process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction, access, and operational efficiency.
Oversee EMR, imaging, and scheduling systems, including troubleshooting and upgrades. Coordinate equipment maintenance, vendor communications, supplies, and resource allocation. Support quality improvement initiatives, operational audits, and documentation standards. Monitor departmental expenses and prepare operational reports and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a professional, patient-focused environment. Escalate clinical, personnel, compliance, and equipment concerns to leadership as appropriate. Perform other related duties as assigned. Position is on-site at our office in Beverly Hills.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare operations, imaging, radiology, or a related healthcare setting. Three years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
Experience in an outpatient imaging center, oncology practice, or multi-specialty medical setting preferred.
Qualifications
and Requirements Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities. Proficiency with EMR systems, imaging software, and standard computer applications. Knowledge of imaging workflows, clinical operations, and regulatory requirements. Ability to monitor performance, improve workflows, and manage competing priorities.
