The Video Editor turns raw footage into polished long-form YouTube videos and engaging short-form clips that reflect the creative style and quality standards set by the team. This role exists so the content pipeline keeps moving, with finished videos delivered on schedule and in a consistent style across long-form and social content.

Long-Form YouTube Video Editing Edit approximately two long-form YouTube videos per week from raw footage provided by the client Organize footage, assemble sequences, and create polished videos based on reference content and creative direction Apply revisions and incorporate feedback to align the final output with the expected editing style Short-Form Content & Clip Creation Repurpose long-form footage into short-form clips for social media and trial reels Create variations of existing content while keeping the intended messaging and visual quality Deliver approximately 20 hours of short-form editing work per week, alongside approximately 20 hours of long-form editing Quality Control & Style Matching Match the editing style of provided YouTube references and examples as closely as possible Review your own work for pacing, audio, and visual consistency before delivery [confirm: inferred from the style-matching and quality standards] Deadlines, Revisions & Communication Manage revisions, organize project files, and deliver completed videos on schedule Communicate proactively, ask clarifying questions, and consistently meet agreed-upon deadlines Participate in team check-ins and video meetings with camera on] Required: Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Da.

Vinci Resolve Experience editing long-form YouTube content and creating short-form clips Strong English comprehension to understand scripts, context, and creative instructions Good storytelling instincts, visual judgment, attention to detail, and openness to feedback Reliable attendance and accountability, willingness to join video meetings with the camera on, and the ability to work about 40 hours per week Your superpowers are...

Technical Professional editing in Final Cut Pro, Da. Vinci Resolve, or similar software Pacing, cuts, transitions, and audio cleanup for YouTube-style content Reframing and repurposing horizontal footage into vertical short-form clips Captions, text, and music, as the style requires Organized project files, version control, and backups Soft skills Storytelling instincts, including knowing which moments hook a viewer A sharp eye for detail and visual quality Coachability: you take feedback well and apply it quickly Accountability and dependable follow-through Asking questions early instead of guessing Managing a split workload and deadlines without being chased WFH Set-Up: Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
