Position Summary

Day. Break Adult Daycare is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Care Staff I (DCS I) to support seniors and adults with disabilities in a structured, engaging, and supportive daytime environment. This role focuses on hands‑on care, participant engagement, and maintaining a safe, respectful atmosphere for all participants.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and interested in growing within an adult day care setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct support and supervision to participants throughout the day Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity Support and participate in group activities, social engagement, and therapeutic programming Observe, document, and report changes in participant condition or behavior Maintain accurate daily documentation in accordance with agency policy Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for participants Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Promote teamwork and positive interactions with participants and staff Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor Ability to follow policies, procedures, and care plans Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Willingness to learn and accept feedback Education, Experience & Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Preferrably a Nurse or Social Worker CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass background check and health screening Experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities preferred, but not required Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position Work Environment Adult Day Care setting (daytime hours) Team‑based, supportive environment Focus on dignity, safety, and engagement Career Growth Opportunity Day.
