5 Paid Holidays 2 Weeks Institutional Closing Pay (Last 2 weeks of December) for qualifying positions Employee Assistance Program Job Summary Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking multiple candidates for Security Officer positions in our fast-paced Campus Safety and Security Department located on the Downtown Campus.

This is a 1st shift position (7:00 am – 3:00 pm), Monday through Friday. Job Duties: Candidates will be responsible for providing on-going visual inspection by foot, bike, and/or vehicle patrols, completing incident, accident and injury reports as needed and providing other security services in order to maintain a safe, secure campus environment for students, staff, faculty and visitors.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

• Assists with campus crisis situations, with building evacuations, drills, etc. as needed and monitors parking facilities, insuring only authorized vehicles parked in restricted areas; issues citations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

High School/GED and one year of Security or related work experience (other Security, Corrections, Police, Fire, EMS, or Military). Strong written and verbal skills are necessary. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications
